You can delete media files from your phone easily. Just follow these simple steps.
If you want to delete media files from a individual conversation,
- Open Conversation > Click on three dots top right corner > Media, Links, and Docs
- Select files by tap and hold > Press Delete button on top right corner
If you want to delete media files from a group,
- Open Group > Click three Dots top right corner > Group Media
- Tap and Hold to select file to delete > Delete button on top right corner
There is also another way to delete media files in bulk form whole WhatsApp.
- Open File manager / browser of phone and locate WhatsApp Images folder
- Select desired files to delete and click delete option (varies phone to phone)

In order to view storage status
- Open WhatsApp > Settings.
- Tap Storage and Data > Manage Storage.
At the top of your screen, you can see how much space WhatsApp Media and Apps and Other Items take up.
One of WhatsApp’s best features is that it gives you the chance to review and then delete items you want.
1- You can delete storage by deleting items in three categories.
- Larger Files
- Forwarded many times.
- Delete items from chat.
- Open WhatsApp > Settings.
- Tap Storage and Data > Manage Storage.
- Select “Larger than 5 MB”, “Forwarded Many Times”, or select any chat
You can delete data from any category. Just tap and select, then tap the delete icon on top.
You can also tap the sort icon on top (three ascending lines) to sort items by Largest, Newest, or Oldest. It’ll help you to pick and delete quickly and more effectively.
- The file size of the item is displayed in the top corner of the item.
2- You may delete all data items at once by selecting the “select all” icon on top right corner and then delete.
